FREEZING RAIN, FOLLOWED BY SIGNIFICANT RAINFALL MIDWEEK. 



WHAT: 

FREEZING RAIN WITH ICE ACCRETION OF 2 TO 5 MM ON SOME SURFACES. 

SURFACES SUCH AS HIGHWAYS, ROADS, WALKWAYS AND PARKING LOTS MAY 

BECOME ICY, SLIPPERY AND HAZARDOUS. 

ICE BUILD-UP MAY CAUSE TREE BRANCHES TO BREAK. 

RAIN, AT TIMES HEAVY. TOTAL RAINFALL AMOUNTS OF 15 TO 25 MM. 



WHEN: 

LATE WEDNESDAY AFTERNOON THROUGH EARLY THURSDAY MORNING. 



ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: 

PRECIPITATION WILL BEGIN AS SNOW AND ICE PELLETS LATE WEDNESDAY 

AFTERNOON BEFORE TRANSITIONING TO FREEZING RAIN WEDNESDAY EVENING. 



AS TEMPERATURES RISE ABOVE THE FREEZING MARK, FREEZING RAIN WILL 

TRANSITION TO RAIN WEDNESDAY NIGHT. FOR LOCATIONS ALONG THE OTTAWA 

RIVER, FREEZING RAIN MAY PERSIST INTO EARLY THURSDAY MORNING. 



FREEZING RAIN WARNINGS WILL LIKELY BE REQUIRED AS THE EVENT DRAWS 

NEARER. 



LOCALIZED FLOODING IN LOW-LYING AREAS IS POSSIBLE.
