FREEZING RAIN WITH POSSIBLE ICE STORM FOR SUNDAY. 



WHAT: 

SEVERAL HOURS OF FREEZING RAIN. 

ICE ACCRETION POSSIBLY EXCEEDING 10 MM. 

UTILITY OUTAGES POSSIBLE. 

SLIPPERY SURFACES AND BROKEN TREE BRANCHES FROM ICE BUILD-UP. 



WHEN: 

SUNDAY INTO EARLY MONDAY. 



ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: 

AFTER A BREAK FROM SNOW OR FREEZING RAIN ON SATURDAY, ANOTHER 

WEATHER SYSTEM WILL AFFECT NORTHEASTERN ONTARIO BEGINNING LATE 

SATURDAY NIGHT INTO SUNDAY. PRECIPITATION MAY BEGIN AS SNOW OR ICE 

PELLETS BEFORE CHANGING TO FREEZING RAIN. DUE TO THE DURATION OF THE 

FREEZING RAIN, THIS HAS THE POTENTIAL TO BE A MAJOR ICE STORM FOR 

THE REGION. TRAVEL WILL BE VERY HAZARDOUS. 



FOR SOME AREAS, TEMPERATURES MAY RISE ABOVE THE FREEZING MARK SUNDAY 

AFTERNOON WITH FREEZING RAIN CHANGING TO RAIN. 



CONDITIONS WILL IMPROVE BY MONDAY MORNING AS THE WEATHER SYSTEM 

EXITS THE PROVINCE.
