SITUATION At 1200 UTC Tropical Cyclone Courtney was centred within 20 nautical miles of latitude seventeen decimal five south (17.5S) longitude one hundred and three decimal two east (103.2E) Recent movement : west at 13 knots Maximum winds : 55 knots Central pressure: 980 hPa AREA AFFECTED Within 50 nautical miles in NE quadrant and within 90 nautical miles in SE quadrant and within 90 nautical miles in SW quadrant and within 60 nautical miles in NW quadrant. FORECAST Maximum winds to 55 knots near the centre increasing to 70 knots by 1200 UTC 27 March. Winds above 64 knots developing within 20 nautical miles in SE and SW quadrant by 0600 UTC 27 March with high seas.
