FREEZING RAIN ON MONDAY 



WHAT: 

SEVERAL HOURS OF FREEZING RAIN POSSIBLY GIVING 2 TO 5 MILLIMETRES OF 

ICE ACCRETION. THE SAGUENAY-LAC-SAINT-JEAN AND CHALEUR BAY AREAS 

WILL RECEIVE BETWEEN 5 AND 10 MILLIMETRES OF FREEZING PRECIPITATION. 



WHEN: 

MONDAY. 



WHERE: 

THE SAGUENAY-LAC-SAINT-JEAN, LOWER ST. LAWRENCE, GASPE PENINSULA AND 

NORTH SHORE REGIONS.



SURFACES SUCH AS HIGHWAYS, ROADS, WALKWAYS AND PARKING LOTS MAY 

BECOME ICY AND SLIPPERY. BE PREPARED TO ADJUST YOUR DRIVING WITH 

CHANGING ROAD CONDITIONS. ICE BUILD-UP MAY CAUSE TREE BRANCHES TO 

BREAK. 



FREEZING RAIN WARNINGS ARE ISSUED WHEN RAIN FALLING IN SUB-ZERO 

TEMPERATURES CREATES ICE BUILD-UP AND ICY SURFACES.
