HEAVY SNOW AND FREEZING RAIN 



WHAT: 

TOTAL SNOWFALL ACCUMULATIONS OF 15 TO 30 CENTIMETRES. 

BLOWING SNOW NEAR THE SHORELINE PARTICULARLY FROM PORT-CARTIER TO 

SEPT-ILES. 

SEVERAL HOURS OF FREEZING RAIN POSSIBLY PRODUCING UP TO 5 

MILLIMETRES OF ICE ACCRETION. 



WHEN: 

FROM EARLY MONDAY MORNING THROUGH EARLY TUESDAY MORNING. 



WHERE: 

MANICOUAGAN, SEPT-ILES AND MINGANIE AREAS.



CONSIDER POSTPONING NON-ESSENTIAL TRAVEL UNTIL CONDITIONS IMPROVE. 

RAPIDLY ACCUMULATING SNOW COULD MAKE TRAVEL DIFFICULT OVER SOME 

LOCATIONS. SURFACES SUCH AS HIGHWAYS, ROADS, WALKWAYS AND PARKING 

LOTS WILL BECOME ICY, SLIPPERY AND HAZARDOUS. 



WINTER STORM WARNINGS ARE ISSUED WHEN MULTIPLE TYPES OF SEVERE 

WINTER WEATHER ARE EXPECTED TO OCCUR TOGETHER.
