ICE STORM CONDITIONS EXPECTED TODAY. 



WHAT: 

FREEZING RAIN WITH SIGNIFICANT ICE ACCRETION OF 10 TO 20 MM. 

ICY AND SLIPPERY CONDITIONS. 

UTILITY OUTAGES AND TREE DAMAGE POSSIBLE. 



WHEN: 

THIS MORNING THROUGH EARLY MONDAY MORNING. 



ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: 

FREEZING RAIN MAY BRIEFLY CHANGE OVER TO RAIN THIS AFTERNOON AND 

EVENING FOR PORTIONS OF MANITOULIN ISLAND WHERE TEMPERATURES RISE 

ABOVE THE FREEZING MARK. PRECIPITATION WILL TRANSITION TO ICE 

PELLETS AND THEN SNOW EARLY MONDAY MORNING. 



EASTERLY WINDS GUSTING UP TO 50 KM/H COULD EXACERBATE THE SITUATION 

IF THERE IS ICE BUILD-UP ON TREE LIMBS AND POWER LINES. WINDS WILL 

BECOME NORTHERLY EARLY MONDAY MORNING.



SURFACES SUCH AS HIGHWAYS, ROADS, WALKWAYS AND PARKING LOTS WILL 

BECOME ICY, SLIPPERY AND EXTREMELY HAZARDOUS. BEWARE OF BRANCHES OR 

ELECTRICAL WIRES THAT COULD BREAK UNDER THE WEIGHT OF ICE. EXTENDED 

AND WIDESPREAD UTILITY OUTAGES ARE POSSIBLE.
