WINTER STORM CONTINUES THIS EVENING INTO MONDAY MORNING. 



WHAT: 

SNOWFALL AMOUNTS OF 20 TO 30 CM. 

PEAK SNOWFALL RATES OF 2 TO 5 CM PER HOUR. 

RISK OF FREEZING RAIN. 



WHEN: 

CONTINUING THIS EVENING THROUGH MONDAY MORNING. 



ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: 

SNOW MAY MIX WITH OR TRANSITION TO ICE PELLETS AT TIMES THROUGH 

TONIGHT, PARTICULARLY FOR LOCATIONS ALONG AND SOUTH OF A LINE FROM 

GOGAMA TO KIRKLAND LAKE. A RISK OF FREEZING RAIN WILL ALSO EXIST IN 

THESE AREAS. FOR LOCATIONS THAT RECEIVE ICE PELLETS AND FREEZING 

RAIN, SNOWFALL AMOUNTS WILL BE REDUCED. A SHARP GRADIENT IN SNOWFALL 

AMOUNTS MAY EXIST TO THE NORTH AND SOUTH OF THE AXIS OF HEAVIEST 

SNOW. ALL PRECIPITATION WILL TRANSITION TO SNOW FROM WEST TO EAST 

LATE TONIGHT INTO MONDAY MORNING. 



CONDITIONS WILL IMPROVE MONDAY MORNING AS THE WEATHER SYSTEM EXITS 

THE PROVINCE.



CONSIDER POSTPONING NON-ESSENTIAL TRAVEL UNTIL CONDITIONS IMPROVE. 

RAPIDLY ACCUMULATING SNOW COULD MAKE TRAVEL DIFFICULT OVER SOME 

LOCATIONS. SURFACES SUCH AS HIGHWAYS, ROADS, WALKWAYS AND PARKING 

LOTS WILL BECOME ICY, SLIPPERY AND HAZARDOUS. IF VISIBILITY IS 

REDUCED WHILE DRIVING, SLOW DOWN, WATCH FOR TAIL LIGHTS AHEAD AND BE 

PREPARED TO STOP.
