BLIZZARD CONDITIONS WITH GUSTY WINDS AND VISIBILITY FREQUENTLY NEAR 

ZERO IN SNOW AND BLOWING SNOW ARE EXPECTED OR OCCURRING.



A POWERFUL WINTER STORM IS BRINGING WIDESPREAD BLIZZARD CONDITIONS 

TO THE KIVALLIQ REGION. 



CONDITIONS WILL BEGIN TO IMPROVE LATER TODAY FOR NAUJAAT, CORAL 

HARBOUR, AND CHESTERFIELD INLET. BLIZZARD CONDITIONS WILL LIKELY 

PERSIST INTO TUESDAY FOR ARVIAT, RANKIN INLET (AMPERSAND) WHALE 

COVE, AND BAKER LAKE.



TRAVEL IS EXPECTED TO BE EXTREMELY HAZARDOUS DUE TO REDUCED 

VISIBILITY. VISIBILITY WILL BE SUDDENLY REDUCED TO NEAR ZERO AT 

TIMES IN HEAVY SNOW AND BLOWING SNOW. CONSIDER POSTPONING 

NON-ESSENTIAL TRAVEL UNTIL CONDITIONS IMPROVE. AVOID OUTDOOR 

ACTIVITIES.
