LOCATIONS: RED BAY TO CARTWRIGHT, INLAND AREAS OF RED BAY TO L'ANSE-AU-CLAIR, AND THE EAGLE RIVER REGION, MAINLY EAST OF CROOKS LAKE. TOTAL FREEZING RAIN AMOUNTS: 5 TO 15 MM ALONG THE COAST AND LOCALLY 15 TO 25 MM INLAND. FREEZING RAIN DURATION: 10 TO 30 HOURS, LONGEST DURATION INLAND. TIME SPAN: TODAY AND TONIGHT. SIMILAR STORMS IN THE PAST HAVE CAUSED: - HAZARDOUS DRIVING CONDITIONS - CANCELLATIONS OF SCHEDULED ACTIVITIES - DISRUPTIONS TO TRANSPORTATION NETWORKS AND PUBLIC SERVICES - DAMAGE TO TREES AND UTILITY INFRASTRUCTURE - POWER OUTAGES REMARKS: THE FREEZING RAIN WILL BE PRECEDED BY A PERIOD OF RAIN BEFORE TEMPERATURES DIP BELOW ZERO. PRECIPITATION WILL FALL MAINLY AS FREEZING RAIN OR A MIX OF ICE PELLETS AND FREEZING RAIN INLAND AND WILL REMAIN, OR CHANGE BACK TO RAIN AT TIMES ALONG THE COAST BEFORE EVENTUALLY TRANSITIONING TO SNOW OVERNIGHT TONIGHT OR SUNDAY MORNING.
